Plenary: Teaching and Learning with GenAI: Insights from 3 years of the Generative AI Teaching as Research (GAITAR) Initiative at 91视频

Session Types

Showcase

In these two sessions, 91视频 instructors of all levels from across the university will concurrently present teaching strategies, research, and/or experiences to small groups of participants. Presentations may be in the form of technology demonstrations, posters, example materials, or informal conversations (with or without slides or handouts). All presenters will be assigned to a roundtable regardless of format, and presentations will last five minutes, with another five minutes for questions. Participants will then be encouraged to rotate to a new presentation.

Interactive Plenary

Teaching and Learning with GenAI: Insights from 3 years of the Generative AI Teaching as Research (GAITAR) Initiative at 91视频

Facilitated by the Eberly Center for Teaching Excellence and Educational Innovation

What are the impacts of students’ use of genAI on their learning? This interactive session will provide an overview of the Eberly Center’s GAITAR Initiative and discuss insights from three years of 91视频 classroom research, including large-scale studies across disciplines. Participants will gain actionable pedagogical strategies and advice based on empirical findings, including a meta-analysis of 18 GAITAR Fellowship studies.
