MIIPS, 2027
This is how to say my name:
Why MIIPS?
I chose MIIPS because it combines engineering, product development, design, and business in a way that aligns closely with my background and career goals. With experience in mechanical engineering, robotics, AI/ML, and product development, I wanted a program that would help me expand beyond purely technical problem-solving. MIIPS stood out for its interdisciplinary, hands-on approach and its focus on turning innovative technologies into products that create real-world impact.Education
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, San Diego (UCSD).
Experience
Student Researcher – AI & Machine Learning at UC San Diego’s DERConnect Lab, where I develop machine learning pipelines for detecting and classifying smart-inverter and microgrid events from large phasor datasets. Previously, I worked as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Lufthansa Technik, a Technology and Innovation Lab Intern at Siemens, and a Supply Chain Analyst Intern at UPS.
What career achievement are you most proud of?
One of my proudest experiences was my internship at Siemens Advanta as a Technology and Innovation Lab Intern. I worked on a computer vision project in Python to improve shop-floor safety. Even though I was still building my coding skills, I quickly learned and helped develop a system that detected potential hazards in real time. The project contributed to about an 80% reduction in safety incidents and showed me how engineering and AI can directly improve workplace safety and save lives.
What type of role are you looking to obtain after you graduate?
am still exploring the exact role I would like to pursue after graduation. My interests span product management, product development, strategy, technology, and finance. I am particularly interested in roles where I can combine my engineering and technical background with business and financial decision-making.
