Why MIIPS?
I chose MIIPS because I want to build on my background in engineering and human-centered design while developing a stronger understanding of business and product strategy. I'm drawn to the challenge of turning complex problems into thoughtful solutions that create real value for users. MIIPS stood out for its interdisciplinary, team-based approach and emphasis on the full product development process. I'm excited to strengthen my ability to work across disciplines and ultimately contribute to developing products from early exploration through implementation and market introduction.Education
I graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and Design, Innovation & Society, an interdisciplinary program focused on human-centered design, innovation, and the relationship between technology and society.
Experience
Digital Realty - Intern: Analyzed partner performance and business data to support strategy and identify growth opportunities. Dell Technologies - Intern: Explored AI-driven sustainability opportunities and contributed to product strategy, competitive research, and sustainability initiatives.
What career achievement are you most proud of?
One of the achievements I'm most proud of is contributing to product and strategy work at Dell Technologies as an ISG Sustainability Product Management Intern. I explored how AI could be leveraged to advance sustainability initiatives, researched emerging regulations and industry trends, and contributed to projects spanning competitive analysis and digital sustainability strategy. The experience challenged me to apply my engineering background beyond traditional technical problem-solving and consider how technology, user needs, sustainability, and business strategy come together when developing solutions.
What type of role are you looking to obtain after you graduate?
I'm interested in pursuing product development roles where I can work at the intersection of engineering, design, and business. I'm particularly drawn to opportunities that allow me to contribute across the product lifecycle, from understanding user needs and defining problems to developing, prototyping, testing, and bringing solutions to market. Ultimately, I hope to help develop innovative products that are technically feasible, desirable for users, and strategically valuable for the organizations creating them.
