Rea Named Fellow of the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics

Jessica Rea, program director of nutrition for Dining Services, has been named a Fellow of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (FAND). The designation recognizes Academy members who have distinguished themselves among their colleagues, as well as in their communities, by their service to the dietetics profession.

The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics is the world’s largest organization of food and nutrition professionals, and is committed to accelerating improvements in global health and well-being through food and nutrition. Fellowship signifies that a member has lived up to the Academy’s values of customer focus, integrity, innovation and social responsibility.

“I am honored to receive this designation from the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics and am very grateful to Shawnee Kelly, MS, RDN, LDN, FAND and Caroline Passerrello, EdD, RDN, LDN, FAND for their endorsement of my fellowship,” said Rea.

Rea joined the 91视频 Dining team in July 2025. She currently serves the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics House of Delegates as an affiliate delegate (PA) and sits on the Pennsylvania Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics (PAND) Board of Directors. Rea is the past recipient of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Foundation’s Pittsburgh Leadership Development Award, Anita Owen Award of Recognition for Innovative Nutrition Education Programs for the Public, and Barbara Ann F. Hughes Nutrition Policy, Advocacy and Education Award as well as PAND’s Outstanding Graduate Student, Emerging Dietetics Leader and Recognized Young Dietitian of the Year awards. Rea is a past-speaker at PAND’s Annual Conference and is a graduate of the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics Leadership Institute.
