Julie Sweet
PreK/Kindergarten Teacher
Bio
Julie Sweet is a lead teacher at The Children's School, where she is a member of the PreK-Kindergarten Team. She was a 2025-2026 member of the Fred Rogers Educator’s Neighborhood, a program conducted by the Fred Rogers Institute. Previously, Julie attended and presented on three different occasions at the National Coalition of Campus Children's Centers Annual Conference. Before joining The Children’s School, Julie taught in various pre-K and kindergarten enrichment programs in the South Hills of Pittsburgh. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communications from Miami University in Ohio and began her professional career in advertising. She later returned to school at Robert Morris University to pursue her Pennsylvania teaching certification in PreK–4.
Julie lives in Upper St. Clair, Pennsylvania, with her husband, Jesse. They have two sons: Sam, a law student in Atlanta, Georgia, and Charlie, a college student in Pittsburgh. Julie is deeply grateful to spend each day learning and growing alongside the children, families, and colleagues at The Children’s School.
