Bio
Donna taught Kindergarten at the Children’s School for 25 years. In 2024, after a brief hiatus, she returned to the school as the Admissions and Family Coordinator.
Donna holds a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Pittsburgh and an Early Childhood Education certificate from Chatham University. She began her career at the Children’s School in 1997 as the Office Assistant. She later became the Administrative Assistant with the formation of the Children’s School Professional Development Center, which provided outreach programs and professional development opportunities to area preschools and teachers.
In 2000, Donna joined Linda Hancock as part of the Kindergarten Team. During her time in the classroom, she had the joy of watching two of her grandchildren, Lexi and Holden, attend and graduate from the Children’s School. Her return to the school in 2024 coincided with the enrollment of her granddaughter, Maisie, who is now in the PreK/K program.
Donna resides in Munhall with her husband, Michael, who runs the family funeral home alongside their son, Ben. She enjoys spending time with her five grandchildren—Lexi, Holden, Walker, Sebastian, and Maisie—and traveling with her husband, their children, Ben, Camila, Rachel, and Hannah, and their grandchildren. Donna is also an avid DIYer, gardener, and reader.
