Summer Classroom and Computer Lab Upgrades
During the summer break, several classrooms and computer labs were upgraded with the latest hardware and Zoom technology to enhance teaching and learning. We've also updated our classroom technology guides to help you make the most of teaching in these upgraded spaces.
Upgraded Spaces and Hardware Details
Upgraded spaces have been equipped with either standard or enhanced Zoom integration. In these spaces, you can seamlessly start and control a Zoom meeting directly from the touch panel, improving the hybrid experience for both faculty and students.
Standard Zoom Integration

- Porter Hall 125B, 125C, 125D, 126A, 225B, 226A, 226B, 226C
- Doherty Hall 1112, 1117, 1209
New hardware:
- New, modern lecterns and internal hardware
- New presenter-facing equipment (document camera, touch panel, and Blu-ray player)
- Shure ceiling microphones for whole-room audio capture and BirdDog 4K presenter cameras
- New 4K Panasonic laser DLP projectors
Enhanced Zoom Integration
Enhanced Zoom-integrated spaces feature integrated room microphones and controllable presenter and audience camera views, making hybrid discussions feel much more natural and inclusive. Some of these rooms were lightly upgraded, while others underwent a full technology refresh.

These rooms were equipped with upgraded BirdDog 4K cameras for sharper video.

- Shure ceiling microphones for full-room audio

Updated Technology Guides
Our classroom technology guides have been updated with the latest instructions for both in-person and remote instruction.
To help you prepare for the upcoming semester, we have:
- Renamed our classroom technology categories and created an listing which rooms belong to each category.
- Updated physical classroom posters with streamlined instructions that direct you to the appropriate online technology guide.
